Web Wayback Machine

Web Archive

The Internet Archive is a complete snapshot of all web pages on every website since 1996 till today. Since the average lifetime of a page on the Internet is 100 days, this snapshot is retaken every two months. The Internet Archive at BA includes the web collection of 1996 to 2006. It represents 1.5 petabytes of data stored on 880 computers. The entire collection is available for free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

Wayback Machine:

The Wayback Machine is the tool that allows users to use the Web archive to surf the web as it was. This historic collection is invaluable to scholars trying to understand the interactions between people and events. We expect to build special collections that reflect the interests of the patrons of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Testing PORTS

The below debug routine will check the ports of the computer to allow you to know if ports are being detected or not.

Type debug to get to the “-”

You should get several lines; however, the first line is the only important line, which should read the following:

The above graph shows you what the feed back means as far as port, so if you see F8 03, this would be an indication that COM1 is being detected; if you see 00 00, this is an indication that it is not being detected, which could mean that hardware is bad or that it is disabled in CMOS.

Once you have finished looking at the information, type Q and press enter to get out of Debug.

Junk Sleep

Too many teenagers are damaging their health by not getting enough sleep and by falling asleep with electrical gadgets on, researchers say.

A third of 12 to 16-year-olds asked slept for between four to seven hours a night. Experts recommend eight hours.

The Sleep Council, which conducted the poll of 1,000 teenagers, says gadgets in bedrooms such as computers and TVs are fuelling poor quality “junk sleep”.

Youngsters need to be taught that sleep is important for their health, it said.

Almost a quarter of the teens surveyed admitted they fell asleep watching TV, listening to music or with other equipment still running, more than once a week.

Nearly all had either a phone, music system or TV in their bedroom, and two thirds had all three.

Among 12 to 14-year-old boys, nearly three in five (58%) had a phone, music player, TV and games console in their bedroom.

While 40% of the teens said they were often tired during the day, just 10% placed much importance on getting a good night’s sleep.

1. Tulus hati dan jujur
Perhatian yang diberikan kepada kamu bukanlah pura-pura atau berdasarkan pamrih. Kamu juga bisa yakin bahwa dia .jujur pada dirinya sendiri, kamu dan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Agar ia bisa jujur tampilkan dirimu apa adanya, jangan terlalu banyak memoles diri. Dengan demikian pasangan kamu akan memnunjukkan dirinya yang sebenarnya.

2. Bisa menghargai perbedaan
Dia tetap bisa menghargai keputusanmu meskipun kamu memiliki cara pandang yang berbeda dengannya.

3. Kematangan dan tanggung jawab
Tanda-tanda seseorang telah mencapai kematangan pribadi adalah bila seseorang bersedia membantu memcahkan masalah, tidak ingkar janji. Bila dia tidak memiliki kematangan dan tanggung jawab, kamu akan merasa tidak nyaman disampingnya.

4. Punya kepercayaan diri
Ia tidak mudah terombang-ambing, tidak gampang tersinggung, dan tidak menganggap dirimu sebagai ancaman. Jika pasanganmu tidak punya rasa percaya diri, akan sulit bagi Anda untuk sejalan dengannya dalam banyak hal.

5. Terbuka secara emosional
Dia mau berbagi perasaan baik ketika senang ataupun susah. Keterbukaan emosional menandakan pula bahwa ia mempercayai kamu dan merasa nyaman di dekatmu.

6. Memiliki perhatian
Perhatian bisa melanggengkan hubungan asmara. Tapi jangan kamu saja yang terkagum-kagum dengannya. Dia pun harus memiliki perasaan yang sama padamu.
